Blue Angels will ground ‘Fat Albert’ to investigate cause of Marine crash
The Marine Corps will ground its C-130 “Fat Albert” as investigations continue to find the cause of a KC-130T crash that left 16 troops dead July 10.
The Blue Angels team, who board the Fat Albert with a Marine Corps crew, canceled the appearance at the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh air show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. That show began July 24 and continues through July 30.
Two separate investigations are currently ongoing since the crash that took the lives of nine air crew from VMGR-452, and six Marines and a sailor from the Marines Corp Forces Special Operations Command, who had been traveling from North Carolina to Yuma, Ariz.
