If you’ve ever been south of the border you’d know that vendors sell a variety of “knock-off” items; they look like the real thing just a little imperfect. But one “knock-off” is getting people sick and some have even died. Reports out of Mexico are alarming, people consuming counterfeit alcohol and either getting sick or dying from ingesting the lethal mix.
Now, the U.S. State Department is sending out a warning to those seeking solitude in Mexico. They’re asking visitors to be weary of what they drink and if they begin to feel even remotely ill to visit a hospital as soon as possible.
