Two-year-old boy dies after being pulled from a Phoenix pool

Police in Phoenix has released the name of a 2-year-old boy who died after being pulled from a backyard pool.

They say Kevin Miranda was pronounced dead at the hospital Monday night and no suspicious circumstances surround the incident.

Officers responded to a home about 7:20 p.m. after the boy was found unresponsive in the pool.

Police say the child and his family were visiting and there was no fence around the pool.

The boy’s father pulled him from the water and 911 was called.
