Friday morning, Press Secretary Sean Spicer resigned. His resignation comes after President Trump offered Mr. Scaramucci the communications director position. President Trump requested Spicer to stay on the team, but Spicer wanted to resign.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders will cover the Press Secretary position. Sanders said Mr. Trump is grateful for Mr. Spicer’s service. Spicer’s tough position at the podium was spoofed on “Saturday Night Live” and found himself answering tough questions from reporters on the Trump campaign and Russa as well as the president’s tweets on a wide range of topics.
He lasted six months and a day.
