Crews from Yuma sent to battle blaze in California

It takes special training to fight forestry fires and when a massive fire erupts, crews can be called in from all corners of the country. On Wednesday, members of Yuma Fire Department’s task force were called to provide mutual aid to the Town of Mariposa California. A four man crew will travel the 630 miles to the shores of Lake McClure where the “Detwiler Fire” has destroyed 45,724 acres and is currently only 7-percent contained.
