New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is once again making headlines and in true Christie fashion it’s not positive. The governor is receiving backlash after photos of him and his family went viral over the weekend. The issue, the governor had just closed the beach and state parks for the Fourth of July because of a budget shutdown.
In the photos the Christie family is seen enjoying the beach void of any other people. When questioned regarding the pictures, Governor Christie claims he did nothing wrong and that he had planned to visit the beach way before he closed the beaches to the public. Governor Christie is finishing out his final term as New Jersey’s governor and leaves the office with a low approval rating.
