Border Patrol K-9 Unit
Meet the furry heroes of the Border Patrol’s K-9 Unit at Yuma County Libraries! Learn all about these hard-working canines on June 7 th at the San Luis and Somerton Libraries. The dogs and their handlers will demonstrate how they train and what their daily duties look like. There is no charge to attend.

The Great Index Card Challenge!
What can you do with a pack of index cards and some creativity? We’ll find out at this all-ages competition in honor of our “Build a Better World” Summer Reading program! On Thursday, June 8 th , all ages are invited to the Heritage Library at 3:00 p.m. for the Great Index Card Challenge! Work in teams of up to 4 people (of any age) to see who can build the highest structure, or have your team go for guts to see which structure can hold the most books before collapsing! Fun for the whole family! There is no charge to attend.

Autism Parents Network
On Saturday, June 10 th , parents and caregivers are invited to the Heritage Library at 2:00 p.m. for Autism Parents Network, a weekly bilingual support group for those who care for children on the autism spectrum. Share tips and experiences and learn about services available in Yuma County. There is no charge to attend. Please bring your child for an autism-friendly activity!
