Local students receive scholarships from Yuma business

The Future Farmers of America program allows students to learn the ins and outs of the agriculture industry. Along the way they strengthen their core values which helps them develop their work ethic as well as their drive to succeed. But, programs like this aren’t possible without the support of their school, parents and local companies. Bill Alexander Ford in Yuma held a special presentation which resulted in three Cibola High School students receiving a $1,000 scholarship that will go towards their higher education. FFA Advisor Erika Derma says that the partnership between the FFA and local businesses is essential for the success of the program.
