The annual southwest AG Summit speaker luncheon

The Yuma fresh vegetable association proudly hosted the annual southwest AG summit at Arizona Western College. It’s a nationally recognized conference that allows the desert southwest agriculture industry to join together for educational sessions, trade show booths and networking opportunities. The southwest AG summit is centered in the middle of some of the most diverse and productive agricultural land in the world. Steve Alameda, president of the Yuma fresh vegetable association explained some of the topics that were talked about at the event. “The morning started off with a water panel, where we were discussing a central Arizona project versus Yuma water districts and that is how it started and plant for protection, break outs on anemology, also plant nutrition and irrigation management.” The southwest summit started Wednesday and ended Thursday night at their harvest dinner.
