Sitting on top of a small hill just south of 16th Street near Interstate 8 sit three large water tanks that have become the City of Yuma’s welcome mat.
Once, three ordinary plain blue tanks the city had a desert landscape painted on them in the late 90’s. Almost two decades later needed upkeep of the tanks means the desert mural will have to go.
After the work is done Yumans will be left with a blank canvas.
