Firehouse Subs donates new UTV to Yuma Fire Department

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation gives more than 24-million dollars to public safety nationwide, including our very own fire department. Co-owner of Firehouse Subs, Chris Miller, is happy to be a part of the process.

“The Public Safety Foundation which is the 501C charitable branch of Firehouse Subs, donated a grant for a Polaris a UTV Vehicle to the Yuma Fire Department.”

The 2016 Polaris Ranger will be used to transport paramedics and equipment for hard to reach emergencies.

“We have accidents out in the desert areas and the other things we use this for is large events, like the Yuma Fair,or midnight at the oasis, we were challenged by serving the community and provide rescue services to those areas,” say Yuma Fire Department Chief Steven Irr

This is the second grant the Yuma Fire Department has received, but the act of giving keeps on giving. You can donate to the foundation at any Firehouse Sub location where 90% of all money raised goes back into the community.
