Man arrested for attempted homicide appears in court

The suspect accused of purposely ramming into another vehicle on Saturday appeared in court on Tuesday. 29-year-old Jesse Ramirez is facing four charges: Attempted homicide, aggravated assault, endangerment and criminal damage. According to court documents, Ramirez had multiple run-ins with the law in the past. He was faced with similar charges in 2006. Authorities said the victim is in stable condition after being admitted to the Yuma Regional Medical Center. The victim and Ramirez knew of each other, though the extent of their relationship is unknown. Ramirez is set to appear in court again on February 21.
