Topic of the Day: New California Gun Laws

Californians are taking a tough stance on gun control and starting this year a barrage of new laws will affect both criminals and law abiding citizens.
From now until July 1st California residents who own high capacity magazines defined as a magazine that holds more than ten bullets will have to get rid of them or surrender them.
Also the new law closes the “Bullet Button” loophole; changing the wording and forcing owners of assault rifles to register their weapons as such.
The new law will also require gun owners to undergo a background check each time they buy ammunition; that law goes into affect in 2019.
