Fisher Dodge donates car to D.A.R.E program

Cocopah Police Department’s D.A.R.E program has been donated a new car from Fisher Dodge, a local car dealership.

The agency’s owner, Joseph Fisher, donated a black, Dodge Charger after a police officer approached him a few months ago. Fisher says the car is equipped like a police car and has D.A.R.E logos painted on it’s doors.

“We’re really proud to be a great member of the community. Yuma county supports us and they have for the last 35 years, and our kids are our future. So it’s something we have to support and have to make sure that they stay off drugs and become great citizens and future employees and customers,” Fisher said.

The car dealership hopes the new car will attract students who are involved with D.A.R.E.
