Bloody scene in Winterhaven after stabbing

UPDATE 7:00 pm

According to the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect is identified as 32-year-old Ivanna Kelly. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered this was a domestic violence dispute and the victim and suspect are partners and have three children together.

According to ICSO, Kelly is now in custody and facing several charges including, spousal abuse, attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

A bloody scene as a stabbing victim receives help in Winterhaven Tuesday night.

Imperial County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that they were responding to a victim who was stabbed.

The victim has been transported to the hospital, according to ICSO.

Both Quechan Police and the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office were on scene.

No details have been released on who’s accused of stabbing the victim and if that person has been arrested.
