Border Patrol rescues 3 in Jacumba mountains

Agents provide medical assistance to undocumented migrant

OCOTILLO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents on Wednesday morning rescued three people who got lost in the Jacumba Wilderness near Ocotillo .

Agents say the California Highway Patrol (CHP) alerted them to a 911 call from a migrant claiming to be lost in the deserts. The caller informed dispatch a woman traveling with the group was unconscious.

Agents used GPS coordinates to locate the group. Neither of the men needed medical attention. The woman refused treatment.

Border Patrol processed all three migrants and released them back into Mexico.
