Dump the Pump Event going on Today
Over the past decade the Yuma County Area Transit has grown to the size of bigger cities; offering multiple routes while keeping the cost down. For the past twelve years public transportation authorities across the country have been taking part in the Nation Dump the Pump campaign which asks drivers to leave the car and even the bike behind and see what public transportation has to offer.
In Yuma, the Yuma County Area Transit or YCAT offers $2 one way trips and $5 All Day Passes; some discounts are available and a there are scheduled trips to the Imperial Valley during the week. We spoke to Transit Director Shelly Kreger who invites everyone to take a ride.
