Fugitive captured with Yuma police assisting U.S. Marshals

Yuma Police and Yuma Border Patrol assisted with the U.S. Marshals in arresting a fugitive wanted with a warrant probation violation. The U.S. Marshal Service Led Arizona W.A.N.T.E.D. Violent Offender Task Force arrested Yuma resident Julio Arrendondo. Arrendondo was wanted for a probation violation connected to a felony charge.

He was located on Thursday around 4:30 p.m. riding his bike off 18th avenue when officials began to pursue him. Officials say he jumped off his bike and ran from officers. Officials found Arrendondo in a backyard. He was taken to Yuma Regional Medical center with minor injuries and has been released to Yuma County Jail.
