Rural-Metro crews battle house fire
Rural-Metro firefighters are currently battling a house fire in the Foothills area of the city.
Fire crews were called out at around 2:45 p.m. to the area of Maria de Fortuna and Avenue 14 E.
Officials say the house was empty when the fire started.
The plume of smoke can be seen from miles away.
Fire officials say they hope to have the fire under control within the hour.
