20-year-old woman dies after driving car into canal
A 20-year-old woman is dead after she drove her car into the Rockwood Canal.
The incident happened shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday morning on Mead Road west of McConnell Road.
California Highway Patrol officers say the woman was trying to cross the bridge over the canal when she struck the access way and overturned into the canal.
The incident is still under investigation.
