The incident happened around 2 a.m. Monday morning at the Cliffs Trailer Park on South Virginia Drive.

Yuma Fire Department (YFD) officials said they saw smoke and flames coming from the apartment when they first got there. Despite putting the fire out, the flames had already damaged two other mobile homes.

The residents from the different homes were able to evacuate their homes, however, two dogs died in the fire. One of the people who lived in the apartment said he tried to put the fire out in one of the rooms with water, but the flames had already spread out, according to YFD.
