New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs to face-off in NBA finals

(CNN, KYMA) - The NBA finals are now set as the New York Knicks will take on the San Antonio Spurs for the top spot.

The Spurs knocked off the Oklahoma City Thunder, who won the NBA championship in the 2024-25 season, in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals Saturday.

The final score was 111 to 103.

Spurs player Victor Wembanyama, who finished with 22 points and seven rebounds, was named the season's Western Conference Finals MVP.

The Spuras will host the Knicks for the first game of the finals Wednesday, and it will air on ABC at 5:30 p.m. Pacific.
