LAS VEGAS (KYMA) - The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 35-21 at Allegiant Stadium, snapping a two-game losing streak while making franchise history in a matchup with ties to both teams’ past in the Los Angeles area.

Rams quarterback, Matthew Stafford, became the franchise’s all-time leader in passing touchdowns with 155. His record-breaking touchdown came on an 11-yard pass to Puka Nacua with 4:15 remaining in the second quarter. Stafford is the first player in NFL history to become the all-time passing touchdown leader for two different franchises. He still holds the record for the Detroit Lions with 282.

Los Angeles entered the fourth quarter with a 22-point advantage, but Las Vegas attempted to mount a late comeback. Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins connected with Tre Tucker for a 37-yard touchdown before finding Ashton Jeanty for a 15-yard score less than two minutes later, cutting the Rams’ lead to 10 points.

Between the two Raiders touchdowns, Stafford threw an interception on the first play from scrimmage, giving Las Vegas momentum to close the gap.

However, the Rams’ defense held firm down the stretch to secure the 35-21 victory. Los Angeles scored just one touchdown in the second half but did enough to prevent the Raiders from completing the comeback.

The win moved the Rams to 3-4 on the season. Las Vegas also sits at 3-4 after extending its losing streak to four consecutive games.
