Hershey Bears’ Teddy Bear Toss collects over 81,000 stuffed animals

HERSHEY, Pa. (CBS, KYMA) - In the AHL Hockey Game, between the Rockford IceHogs and Hershey Bears, the Bears hosted their annual Teddy Bear Toss Sunday.

When Louie Belpedio scored early in the first period, the fans threw the bears onto the ice, with 81,796 stuffed animals being collected.

Last year, they collected 102,343 teddy bears and stuffed animals during the Giant Teddy Bear Toss. That surpasses the club's previous hockey world record of 74,599 collected in 2024.
