BP agents recover stolen vehicle at checkpoint

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- Border Patrol agents recover a stolen vehicle at the Interstate 8 Immigration Checkpoint Sunday.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection said a 30-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were sent to secondary inspection where agents discovered the vehicle they were driving was stolen.

CBP said the couple drove a 2009 Honda Accord that was reported stolen from Mesa, Ariz.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety was notified and the stolen vehicle was returned to its original owner.
