Jury finds man accused of killing Tupac Shakur guilty

UPDATE (5:50 PM): A jury in Las Vegas has found the man accused of killing Tupac Shakur nearly 30 years ago guilty.

Duane "Keffe D" Davis, 63, has been convicted of first-degree murder after the jury reached its verdict in less than three hours.

Davis, who is facing life in prison, will be back in court on October 13 for sentencing.

LAS VEGAS (CBS, KYMA) - Closing arguments were underway Monday morning at the trial of Duane "Keffe D" Davis in Las Vegas.

Davis is on trial for murder for allegedly orchestrating the 1996 drive-by shooting of rap icon Tupac Shakur.

Prosecutors claimed Davis planned the killing of Shakur following a fight between the rapper and Davis' nephew in the lobby of the MGM Grand Hotel.

Prosecutors highlighted that Davis admitted to taking part in Shakur's killing in his own words in both his memoir and interviews.

The defense claims it was embellishment and exaggerated, alleging that Davis wasn't even in Las Vegas when Shakur was killed.

The jury began deliberations Monday afternoon.
