New immigration policy removes migrants seeking asylum back to Guatemala

YUMA, Ariz. ( KECY, KYMA)-The newest immigration policy the Trump administration implemented in the last 60 days has taken effect in Yuma County.

The Yuma Sector Border Patrol confirms 14 migrants who've crossed through unauthorized areas in San Luis, Arizona have been removed back to Guatemala.

This is part of the Asylum Cooperation Agreement (ACA), an agreement made only between the U.S. and Guatemala government officials.
