Price Elementary School celebrates 5th Grade promotion

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)-James D. Price Elementary School promotes its 5th-grade students to middle school with a memorable experience they'll never forget.

Yuma School District One says teacher, Mrs. Rachel Curtis along with the Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) Fire Station, rode in a firetruck delivering 5th graders their certificates.

The school has 70 students and only 10 fifth grade students.

To make this memorable experience for the students, Mrs. Curtis traveled through the neighbored on a fire truck with decorated balloons and a large banner.

"I am extremely grateful that I was able to celebrate my students and honor their hard work! They will always hold a special place in my heart,” stated Mrs. Curtis.
