Today is the coolest day of the week before return to triple-digit heat
YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- Unseasonably warm temperatures will continue through the next week.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), high temperatures across the lower deserts will be in the upper 90s to near 100 degrees Monday, but then climb to 105-109 by the middle of next week.
Mostly clear skies will prevail. The hot and very dry conditions combined with very dry vegetation will allow for heightened fire potential for at least the next 7 days.
Increasing moisture may allow for isolated dry thunderstorms over the high terrain by next weekend.
