High school football team volunteers at thrift store

Gila Ridge High School’s football team gave back to their community Wednesday to volunteer at Yuma’s Crossroads Mission Thrift Store.

The student-athletes cleaned up the showroom, helped organize donations, dusted, threw away large trash items, and helped clean up around the store. Staff at the thrift store said they appreciated their help, and because of them were able to get ahead of their daily tasks.

“This was a great opportunity for the Gila Ridge football program to give back to our great community here in Yuma,” said Gila Ridge football coach John Ellegeood , who is entering his first year with the program.
