YCSO warns the community of scam call requesting payment for a warrant
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office has received calls in reference to a phone number calling the community and leaving messages that they have a warrant out of YCSO .
This is a according to a post from the Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page.
The message then instructs you to call YCSO @ (928)248-3119.
YCSO will never call and request payment for a warrant over the phone.
The Sheriff’s Office says if someone has a warrant, one of the deputies will request to meet in person.
