Pet Talk: Meet Morena and Pumpkin
For this week’s Pet Talk, we meet two pets, a kitten whose name matches her coat and a pup whose crossed eyes make her adorable.
Both are up for adoption at PetSmart Adoption Center.
Meet Pumpkin, you guessed it, an orange coated calico who loves to hold your hand.
She is only 2 months old and loves to play with toys from plastic balls that jingle to climbing up cat trees.
Though Pumpkin is a bit shy at first, it is a good indication at how she could be later in life.
Because she is a bit shy, she is very low key and less hyper than other kittens her age.
She has been in a foster home and gets along well with other cats, kittens, and even other dogs.
She loves to be held and would be a perfect addition for someone looking for some kitten cuddles.
And Morena, which means dark skinned in Spanish.
A good name for this black three-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix.
Morena has an adorable quality that makes her special and a bit goofy.
She is just a little cross-eyed but just as cute.
She is 56 pounds and would work well in a family that has older kids and plays well with bigger dogs.
Though her breed may have a bad reputation, under all that muscle is a heart of gold.
Morena is a very playful pup who loves soft toys like her moose.
American Pit Bull Terriers are devoted and loyal to their family.
These dogs are extremely intelligent and learn commands and tricks with ease, for example, Morena already knows to sit and shake!
They have a zest for life and love to be involved in everything going on around them.
They maintain a puppyish demeanor well into adulthood, and that vitality makes them a joy to live with.
Both pets are available for adoption at PetSmart Adoption Center near Yuma Palms.
If you love dogs and cats and would like to volunteer, PetSmart would love to have you!
They are looking for volunteers willing to help Monday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
