YUHSD employee arrested for indecent exposure

One Yuma Union High School District employee was arrested and is accused of indecent exposure last Thursday, according to the Yuma Police Department.

Yuma police confirmed Cibola High School drama teacher, John Robert Titensor, was arrested near the Ocean to Ocean Bridge at around 10 p.m. on March 21.

Police said a 25-year-old man reported that the former Teacher of the Year nominee, was masturbating in the park on March 21 at 3 p.m. The reporting party took a video that went viral but law enforcement said Titensor claimed he was only urinating.

Titensor, who is facing a misdemeanor charge for public indecency, appeared in Yuma Municipal Court where he pleaded not guilty, according to court records.

The Yuma Union High School District confirmed that Titensor is an employee and had no further comment.
