San Luis man charged with aggravated assault appears in court

The man who authorities say forced his way into a person’s home and threatened to kill them appeared in court Wednesday.

Twenty-eight-year-old Raul Tejeda was put in custody and charged with criminal damage, kidnapping, burglary and unlawful flight from law enforcement for an incident in July.

Tejeda will be back in court in two weeks.

He was also charged for aggravated assault from an incident that happened on July 19.

Authorities said Tejeda forced his way into a person’s home around 9:29 p.m. in the 400 block of South May Avenue. Tejeda threatened to kill the victim and assaulted her multiple times, according to police.
