Law enforcement ‘Splashes out Crime’ with the community
78-Crime’s annual ‘Splash out Crime’ event brought together families and law enforcement officers all for a great cause Saturday evening.
78-Crime is a community program designed to bring law enforcement and citizens together to combat crime and make the community a safer place to live. Anyone with crime tips in the area can anonymously call 78-Crime and if that tip leads to an arrest, the person who called it in may get a monetary reward.
78-Crime is a volunteer-run non-profit, so the organization depends on fundraisers like ‘Splash out Crime’ to continue providing this community service.
“It gets the kids out of the house and everyone gets to get out out and have a great time as a family,” states 78-Crime Board President, Rhonda Green. “It’s a great time for them to get out and know that their police officers are out here to be with them and have a good time.”
78-Crime officials plan on continuing this annual event. If you ever have a crime tip you can call 78-Crime to remain anonymous.
