Crash sends five people to hospital
Five people were taken to the hospital following a crash on Third Street and Magnolia Avenue in Yuma. The Yuma Police Department said the crash happened Tuesday afternoon.
Officers said one vehicle was traveling southbound on Magnolia Avenue when the driver failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with the vehicle traveling westbound on Third Street.
One of the vehicles then crashed into a brick wall on that intersection.
Officers were still at the scene of the crash as of 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Five people were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center. One had serious injuries and had to be flown to a Phoenix hospital. The other four had minor injuries.
