Yuma home under investigation as possible drug lab

Yuma Police Department reports that one person is in custody after discovering a possible drug lab on South Elks Lane.

Police say the house has been under investigation since November by the YPD’s Narcotic and Street Crimes Unit and Yuma County Narcotics Task Force.

Police say they did not find a drug lab, but a single suspect was taken into custody and some evidence was recovered.

A search warrant was issued and served on December 14 by the Arizona Department of Public Safety Hazardous Materials Unit and the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit from Phoenix.

While the investigation is ongoing, the YPD encourages anyone with any information to please call them at (928) 373-4700 or 78-Crime at (928) 782-7463 to remain anonymous. If your information leads to an arrest, you may receive up to a $1,000 cash reward.
