Gov. Ducey to visit Yuma

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) will visit the Yuma Territorial Prison this Friday to sign an agreement with the city.

The agreement is to keep the major tourist attractions of the prison and the Quartermaster Depot open. The agreement was approved by the city council at a special meeting on December 8.

The city of Yuma took over both parks in 2010 when the state was unable to continue running the parks due to budgeting. Now, the city has agreed to continue overseeing both parks for another 15 years.
