Three teens arrested in robbery

Yuma police said deputies arrested three teens after they allegedly robbed a man in broad daylight. YPD said the incident happened Tuesday. Officers were dispatched to the area near First Street and Fourth Avenue at about 1:42 P.M.

Police said the victim, a 38-year-old man, reported that three men approached his vehicle; one reached in and took an undisclosed amount of cash and all three fled on foot.

Officers said the three suspects took off on foot towards the river by Gateway Park. All three of the suspects are 17 years old., YPD said they were taken into custody after crossing the river into California by the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office.
