Muslum leaders launch national #AbandonBiden campaign

DEARBORN, Mich. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Prominent Muslim leaders from critical swing states gathered in Dearborn, Michigan on Saturday to launch the national #AbandonBiden campaign.

The leaders held a national conference in Dearborn, Michigan for the launch.

The so-called #AbandonBiden campaign began when Minnesota Muslim-Americans demanded that President Biden call for a ceasefire by October 31, and the movement has since spread.

Leaders in attendance for the national launch represent Michigan, Minnesota, Arizona, Wisconsin, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

The group vowed to mobilize their communities against President Joe Biden's re-election due to his support of Israel's war in Gaza. However, they have yet to settle on an alternative 2024 candidate.
