Hamlin remains in critical condition, while NFL says Bills-Bengals game will not continue

(KYMA, KECY/ AP News) - Following the scary scene on Monday Night Football in Cincinnati, the Buffalo Bills reported that Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest when he collapsed on the field.

The notification came in before 2 am Tuesday morning, stating Hamlin remained in critical condition and was put on a breathing tube.

Later in the morning, the NFL announced that the suspended game will not resume at any point this week and that Week 18 in the league is unchanged.

The NFL has made no decision regarding the possible resumption of the pivotal Bills-Bengals game at a later date.

The 24-year-old Hamlin collapsed on the field after making a tackle in the first quarter of Monday's game. Hamlin was given immediate care on the field after the Bills say his heart stopped. Medical staff restored his heartbeat before he was then loaded into an ambulance and rushed to a local hospital.
