VIDEO: Migrants from Martha’s Vineyard moving to Cape Cod

(NBC) - Migrants that were flown to Martha's Vineyard this week depart for Cape Cod today where they will have temporary housing.

Nearly 50 migrants that were flown to Martha's Vineyard this week are now headed to Cape Cod.

This morning, community volunteers, who provided food and shelter for the group, lined up to see them off to the ferry.

The migrants are headed to joint base Cape Cod in Buzzards Bay where they will have temporary housing after spending two nights in a church shelter.

This after two chapter flights carrying 48 migrants landed on Martha's Vineyard Wednesday without warning.

The planes were arranged by Florida's Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, protesting President Biden's Border Security policies.
