UPDATE: No imminent threat at Centennial Middle School

A Yuma middle school was placed on a lockdown Friday morning after the school received a concerning recorded voice message, according to Crane School District officials.

Officials said Centennial Middle School received a message to the school and the message was regarded as threatening.

The Yuma Police Department conducted the investigation.

YPD said the threat was not imminent. The forensics team identified that the call came from an electronic dialing system.

All individuals on school grounds have been accounted for and are safe, according to the district. Officials said the school is moving to a modified lockdown.

The district is warning parents and guardians to not arrive on campus during this time.
