Crash on Interstate 8 in Yuma

Two people are in the hospital following a crash on Interstate 8 Monday night.

Rural/Metro responded to the scene on Interstate 8 and milepost five, located just east of Avenue 3E. Firefighters said they’re still not sure what caused the two vehicles to collide.

One vehicle landed on all four wheels, while the other landed on its side. Rural/Metro said both drivers were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

It is still not known how the two vehicles collided.
