Woman gets busted with 9lbs. of meth
A woman was arrested after U.S. Border Patrol agents found nine pounds of methamphetamine hidden in the bumper of the car she was driving.
Agents say the woman drove up to the Interstate 8 checkpoint near the Foothills on Monday.
The woman was sent to secondary inspection after a K-9 officer alerted the car where agents say they found the meth. According to agents the drugs had an estimated street value of about $27,000.
The woman has had prior run-ins with law enforcement for prostitution.
