New York Knicks fans celebrate team’s Eastern Conference win

NEW YORK (NBC, KYMA) - New York Knicks fans packed the streets Monday night after the team punched their ticket to the NBA finals.

The Knicks swept the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals with a dominant 130-93 win in Game 4.

It marks New York's first trip to the NBA finals since 1999.

After trailing in the first round against Atlanta, the Knicks have now won 11 straight games, posting the largest point differential in NBA history over that span.

New York will face either the Oklahoma City Thunder or the San Antonio Spurs when the finals begin on June 3.
