Former Proud Boys leader attends ‘No Kings’ protest in Miami
MIAMI (NBC, KYMA) - Former Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio was spotted at a "No Kings" protest in Miami Saturday.
Tarrio joined thousands of protesters who are taking over city streets nationwide.
While many are protesting the Trump administration and its policy, Tarrio attended his second "No Kings" protest, although he did not align with most of the other attendees politically.
Tarrio was pardoned by President Donald Trump earlier this year after receiving the longest sentence of anyone involved in the January 6 Capitol riots.
The former Proud Boys leader highlighted the crowd turnout and said he attended Saturday's protest because he supports the message of no kings.
"America has not had kings in 250 years. So I came out here to also celebrate and to cover the event for my media outlet," he shared.
However, he did say he was assaulted multiple times despite event organizers telling the crowd not to engage with him.
"I've come out to all three events. I've been assaulted three times. I've never responded. It's usually older people. So I'm not going to respond to it. I'm just going to be me. I'm going to cover the event. If things get hairy, you know, if things get hairy, then I'll just leave. But for the most part, it's a good turnout. I have to agree. It is a good turnout."

Tarrio livestreamed his interactions with protesters on social media.
Crowds amassed across the country as part of the "No Kings" movement to protest what organizers are calling President Trump's "crackdowns on First Amendment rights."
