‘Ketamine Queen’ pleads guilty in Matthew Perry’s death
LOS ANGELES (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - The Los Angeles woman known as the "Ketamine Queen" pleaded guilty Wednesday in connection with the fatal overdose of "Friends" actor Matthew Perry.
Jasveen Sangha pleaded guilty to five federal counts including distribution of ketamine. She is set to be sentenced in December and she faces a maximum prison sentence of 65 years.
"She feels horrible about all of this, but nobody wants to be in the chain of causation, for lack of a better term. So yes, she feels horrible, she's felt horrible since day one," said Mark Geragos, Sangha's attorney.
Perry was found face down in the heated end of his pool at his L.A. home in 2023.
The County Medical Examiner's Office later attributed his death to an accidental overdose of the hallucinogenic anesthetic.
Two doctors and Perry's live-in personal assistant have also pleaded guilty to ketamine distribution charges in the actor's death.
