NBC 11 Sports: Padres earn convincing win, college football is officially back

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The San Diego Padres made light work of the Minnesota Twins in a 13-2 win. Elias Diaz homered twice for the Padres and the team scored seven runs in the seventh inning to run away with the game.

College football Week 1 is over and there was plenty of great games. The No. 11 Arizona State Sun Devils came out on top by a score of 38-19 against Northern Arizona. The University of Arizona obliterated the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors 40-6.

Other top games include Florida State upsetting No. 8 Alabama 31-17, No. 9 Louisiana State mounting a road win versus No. 4 Clemson 17-10, No. 2 Penn State making quick work of Nevada 46-11 and No. 3 Ohio State coming out on top against No. 1 Texas 14-7.
