Arizona stormed back in the ninth again, a local baseball team is looking for community support, Yuma Catholic's Ryan Webb gears up for another swim season and a local Brawley wrestling program starts next Monday.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Diamondbacks were in another nail biter against the Rangers, but Ketel Marte played hero again, hitting a three run homer in the top of the ninth inning to beat the Rangers 6-4.
Arizona is slowly crawling back into the Wild Card race, sitting 5.5 games behind the Mets.
In other baseball news, the Yuma Naturals have been invited to represent the US in an international tournament in Mexico in 2026, but will need the communities support to get there. They are fundraising to cover travel and expenses for the upcoming tournament.
In local Yuma news, Ryan Webb qualified for the Winter Junior Nationals after finishing second at the futures championship in Justin, Texas.
Moving to the Valley, the Brawley Gladiators wrestling club opens sign-ups next Monday at the Brawley High School Cafeteria from 6-8 p.m.
